University of Southern California (USC)
Dr. Heflin earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California, where she focused her training on neuropsychological assessment, health psychology, and geropsychology.
VA Palo Alto
Dr. Heflin completed her neuropsychology internship at the VA Palo Alto and returned there to work after her post-doctoral fellowship at UCSF. She provided neuropsychological assessment, neurocognitive rehabilitation, and therapy to Veteran patients on an inpatient polytrauma unit.
University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)
Dr. Heflin completed her post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the University of California, San Francisco Memory & Aging Center. She provided clinical work for patients with neurodegenerative disorders and conducted state of the art research with individuals with neurodegenerative disorders and breast cancer.
Dr. Heflin recently worked as an Associate Professor at New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU), teaching graduate courses in psychological assessment, neuropsychology, and neuropsychological assessment; mentoring students; and conducting research in neuropsychology. She is now a half-time Instructor of Clinical Psychology so she can provide clinical neuropsychological assessment services to Northern New Mexicans through Thrive Neuropsychology & Psychology.
